SMART OBJECTIVE TERM 2
In this post, I will be talking about my SMART Objective this term:
S- Specific
What do I want to create?
I want to create an animation that is focused on movement, meaning that I want won't be using any voice recordings, instead, I will show my meaning with my characters doing specific movements and expressions (I'm going with the expressionist theme). I will be using 15 fps instead of 24 fps, the reason being that making an animation this smooth is very time-consuming.
M- Measurable
How will I know achieved it?
I will know I achieved it when I see I have at least 2 minutes of animation telling a short story to transmit to the audience.
A- Achievable
Is it in my power to accomplish it?
I very much know I can do it, I'm very familiar with animations and I have now more programs if one of them doesn't work (this is related to the last project that one of the programs didn't work).
R- Realistic
Can I realistically achieve it?
I very much know that I have the time to do this, if something doesn't go to plan, the animation goes to 1 minute.
T- Timely
When exactly do I want to accomplish it?
I want to have this project ready at the end of this term or earlier so I'm sure I did it.

Okay - this is the point where you start to sketch out ideas regarding your characters and how they are going to look.
ReplyDeleteYou can support this by thinking about the narrative (story) of your animation - when it is set (past, present or future), what will your characters do, who they are, what are their roles. Also what is your target market? Are you making it for you? For your parents generation? For children?
All of this needs to be considered - come with some ideas to your tutorial in week 3.
