Story Board for the animation: Dream

Today I decided to make a storyboard of one of the parts in my animation, and for that, I choose this part of the animation called "Dream".

In this part of the animation, the main character would be very stressed before sleeping because of covid 19, but eventually, he will fall asleep and this is when this part of the storyboard comes in.

So, I will say what's happening in each square:

1- The main character is sleeping after a long day of stress;
2- He wakes up scared in a dream;
3- We have a good look at his dream and where he is;
4- He's confused about the dream;
5- He walks around the dream and we get another view from the dream;
6- Another view of him walking, but this view has a purpose for the following squares;
7- A shadow starts to rise in front of the main character but he doesn't notice;
8- The shadow rises more and he finally looks at what's rising from the ground;
9- He sees a giant toilet paper (related to Covid 19);
10- The toilet paper falls on him, it will be more noticeable in the animation because the shadow will get darker when it starts falling on him.

This scene is very important for the animation, it will make 30% of the animation. What's so important about this scene is that you will be able to tell what the main character is feeling in the dream.
This scene is an inspiration of my own dreams, this meaning that when you are inside a dream, you don't find anything weird with the dream (even if it seems weird), you just know it's a dream because you wake up. I wanted to capture that idea of the natural feeling in a dream in this part of the animation.

The storyboard that goes after this one will be called "Nightmare".

  1. I don't think you have said how long you will make this animation and are you still thinking about the 'loop' idea? When you present this work, your completed animation should be the main focus, but to support that, you could have a gallery of character drawings/designs with backstories or images of the 'set' or background in your animation. The more you work ideas up for this the more straightforward the presentation of this work will be.
