Reflection of the project
With this post, I intend to reflect on both the evolution of my work and the way I felt during the whole process.
When the idea for this project came up, which I kept in its essential features, I changed a lot. First, the battles I waged to get the drawings to have something of influence from Expressionism. I still have doubts, if I shouldn't have exaggerated some scenarios, deforming them more and making a more intense play of lights.
Every time I do work, I like to make it big and impressive. I do that so I can be proud of myself. For this work, I tried to do the best I could in this short time to see what would happen.
In this project, I improved how I can do animation in a very short time. I used techniques of my own to save time and do the max I could in a very short time.
I tried that the idea of being inspired by expressionism did not totally abandon me, because it is not something I have ever done. I worked hard, sometimes wondering if I could end up as I had thought. And I did it.
With this, I finished my animation. My animation is the biggest animation I did in my whole life, this being a 5-minute animation. The animation is at 15 fps at 720p.
My animation was very good in my opinion, it was something that I was never thinking of being possible for me to do because I still have a lot to learn in this area. Mainly in the techniques and in the use of the tools. My animation skills improved along with this project and this is noticeable in the animation. But there is still something that I wanted to do in this project that I failed to do, like adding all the characters (like mom) or finishing the story of the animation wherein the original animation the main character was going to be in a hospital, but the video was too long for that. Other mistakes were that some of the animations have different quality styles, which can be tricky to solve.
Overall, I think I did some good improvements in my work compared to last term's work, and I am really proud of what I did for this term. I liked to see all the researches I did and all the sketches I did come together in a 5-minute animation.
