Website Update

This week I decided to make my website more user-friendly and nicer. I took a good look at my website and I thought of many things:
  • The website looks empty
  • The colors are not very good
  • The logo isn't very good and my name is in an awkward place
  • The portfolio has no way of having both works showing at different places

I decided to change how my website worked and making it more user-friendly.

First I wanted to change the website for a more black and white style, the reason being is that it goes along with my style of drawing.
Then I deleted the logo from my website and used a more interesting title.
I reorganized the buttons to be on the top of my website so people could navigate faster.
Some of the fonts of the letters on my website were also changed to suit it.

These changes made my website look more unique and interesting, and one of the big changes was the background of the website. The background is now a drawing that I made for the animation "Pandemic Life", I only did that because it was the only drawing that made the change look more appealing.

In my opinion, this made a huge improvement in the website. It's simple, and quick to navigate between pages.

I also added this at the bottom of the main page. This is to go directly to my work instead of going through my portfolio and find it.

The rest of the changes on the website were the placement of buttons for easier navigation, fixing the phone version of the website, and making sure that the feedback page still works.

  1. I think the updates you have done so far have improved what you had already as we discussed in the class. In your folio I recommend you have a gallery of the characters, an image of the main environment as well as your poster, logo and animation. As part of your presentation, there should be a backstory and some information about the role of your characters in the animation.
