Primary research - Planning

Today in class, we were asked to plan primary research for our main project. Because my main project is about animation, I will need to ask questions to people about it. For this I have 2 Main Ideas:
  • Interview
  • Questionnaire
For these, the questions would be similar, if not equal for both options. The questions will tell me information about what people think about the project I'm making. The questions need to have info about:
  • People that like manga or not;
  • What genre people like in animation;
  • If they like robots.
With this, I started to write down some questions:
  1. What style of animation do you like?
  2. When was the last time you've watch an animation?
  3. What is your favourite genre in animation?
  4. What's your favourite cartoon/Anime (if none you can say "I don't know")
  5. What type of characters you like?
  6. Something you don't like in animation.
These questions will alow me to know what people would like out of an animation, and if they would like my animation or not. With the outcome of the questions, I can change or keep ideas for my animation so it's more appealing to everyone.

Comments

  1. Be careful about questions that will have a one or two word answers - for instance the first question could include why? in order to give the respondent a chance to talk more about which style of animation they like - does it fit with their character/personality/lifestyle etc.
