WELCOME TO TERM 3
This post is a welcome post to tell what will be the goals of this term to achieve. Last term I did a 5-minute animation with all the research to back my understanding of expressionism. The only part I think I missed the most last term was the process demonstration.
I will be trying to do all the 3 key things to make my project go well and that I need to improve from the last term. These are:
-Research
-Process
-Final product
This term I will be taking a 3D approach. For this, I need to do some research about what are the types of 3D animation that I can do, either digital or hand-crafted. I will be choosing one that easy because of the limited time I have and my interest.
The one that I do know and I have some training with it is Stop motion, and one that I also know about is Digital 3D, but I never used it. I always liked 3D animation when I first saw it, and I always wanted to try something like that, but at the time it was difficult to do it. Now it's easier to make any type of 3D animation so it's more believable that I could do at least a minute of animation.
If the 3D animation doesn't work well, I will probably need to try stop motion.
So, this term I will:
-Try 3D software
- Animate with the 3D software
- See if everything works
- Start the project along with research and process posts
For now, I will test Blender again for this work and learn 3D animation.
This term I've been inspired to make something about space. My inspiration came from seeing recent news about the new space projects that are being developed over time, for example, the Artemis program from Nasa that will take humans again back to the moon with the help of private companies.
This made me think about what would it look like for a human to live in deep space. I can take good examples from the day by day of the people living in the ISS (International Space Station). Doing a 3D animation of this will be interesting, and fitting.

Perhaps to push yourself even further consider making a 3D object as a tie-in with the rest of your project - an action figure for instance or an environment. You could consider making a stop motion animation that uses the 3D image as the backdrop for your story.
ReplyDeleteI asked you to include an image of an artist or inspiration that you have been looking at over the break. Don't let your blog drift off again this term, Andre, it was satisfactory to good last term, push on and apply yourself to this as much as you can to improve on what you submitted last term.
